Steph and I were a little bit excited to capture our first wedding in Mission Beach. A quick 3 hour trip down south from our home in Port Douglas and your transported to a stunning beachfront town with palm trees lining the edge of the sand. Now, we have Palm Trees back in Port, but not like this. These trees grow on the beach, not just in parks and back from the tide line. Whist this might sound ridiculous to talk about, it opens up some amazing opportunities that capture some incredible environmental portraits, and that’s what we did!
Enough about palm trees… Let’s talk about Hayley & Chris. These guys are awesome & were a pleasure to work with. They had half of Hull join them for their destination wedding in paradise. A perfect day, with a little wind and bright blue skies, there was no stopping their beach front ceremony just beyond the tree-line at Castaways. Group photos on the beach, bridal party in the gardens & a bridal portrait session on the beach by the swing, along with a hut that some random legends build just for us!
The reception was hosted back at Castaways Palm Events Centre, with fairy lights glowing & Dave the bartender keeping drinks flowing. The Speeches were the prefect mix of hilarity & tear jerking, oh, and the entrance dances by the bridal party were second only to the first dance of Hayley & Chris.
Thanks for having us at Mission Beach guys, we had a blast and hope you love your photos & films!
